With obvious characteristics of the Mittenwald style and a striking similarity to the work of Joseph Kloz, this viola has a long history of professional service.

This lovely small viola is labelled “Rogeri” but is of a much later date and most likely the work of Joseph Kloz.

It has a very colourful sound throughout its range and is evenly balanced across the strings offering rich warmth and depth with plenty of overtones; it is very pleasant under the ear and also projects well and offers excellent playability. A thoroughly charming small viola for the discerning player.
